ABOUT DR. MATTESON

Matteson-7395.jpg

I am a board certified OB/GYN with over 25 years of experience caring for women. In 2020, I left my busy practice because I realized that promoting health was about more than waiting for disease, prescribing medication and advising surgery. I could see that women were exhausted and frustrated by their symptoms and needed more than fifteen minutes to be heard. My patients taught me that supporting real health requires an approach that honors the whole person and works to prevent imbalances that result in illness. I have since dedicated myself to the practice of integrative medicine that provides high quality, personalized care. A practice that reestablishes the doctor patient relationship that is so vital to healing, with you, the patient, at the center. We will work to find the root causes of your health concerns and pursue a detailed evaluation of the factors that affect your health, including nutrition, mental and emotional

stress, relationships, sleep, physical activity and toxic exposures in your environment. Lab work can often provide useful information, and will be ordered as needed. I will draw on my years of experience in women's health paired with evidence-based complementary approaches to address the underlying causes of poor health and promote lasting wellness. While on that journey, I hope you find peace, vitality and whatever is most meaningful to you in this life.
